Jalen Hurts had a personal record-breaking season this year as the Eagles QB led his team to the Super Bowl final. The Eagles also had the best regular season record all thanks to Hurts and his ability with the ball.
The Eagles QB can pass the ball and even rush with it if there are no better options while just being 24 years old. This makes him an exceptional QB and from a financial point of view he is up there with the most elite QBs in the country.
Hurts’ rookie contract is going to be up soon and if the Eagles want to nab him as their franchise QB, they will. They will have to offer him a humongous contract to get hold of his services.
Skip Bayless from the Undisputed recently spoke about the same on his show and stated that the Eagles QB will get a contract similar to his Super Bowl rival Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes.
Mahomes is currently the best QB in the league and deserves all the money he gets. However, Hurts is also not far and can easily be considered in the top 3 QBs list in the country.
Recent reports suggest that Hurts is not ready to publicly negotiate his new deal after the humiliating Super Bowl loss. However, the numbers will be up there with Mahomes if it falls through.
“I will bet that when this deal is publicized, the numbers will be right there with Patrick Mahomes’.” Skip Bayless stated on the Undisputed. “I think Jalen’s top priority right now is to win Super Bowls'”
The Eagles are blessed to have Jalen Hurts as the face of their franchise
Jalen Hurts has turned out to be a blessing in disguise for the Eagles according to Skip Bayless. The Eagles QB is mature, talented, and most importantly has the hunger to win multiple Super Bowls with his team.
The 24-year-old will dedicate all his life to doing it if he wants to win multiple Super Bowls. Although, there is one problem that Bayless pointed out in the Undisputed.
The Eagles will have to design his deal in such a way that it doesn’t over exceed their salary cap and also Jalen Hurts gets paid the money that he deserves.
The rumored deal will probably be a long-term deal where Hurts will be part of the Eagles for many years to come and hopefully win lots of NFL Super Bowls with the team.
