The Philadelphia Eagles have lost two games in a row after a tremendous start to their season. As a result of this, they have kept the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC Division title race with just one week left in the NFL regular season.
Six out of eight divisions have crowned a winner except for the AFC South and NFC East. The winner of the week 18 game between the Jacksonville Jaguars (8-8) and Tennessee Titans (7-9) will be crowned as the AFC South division winners and will be guaranteed a playoff spot.
As for the NFC East, the Philadelphia Eagles (13-3) and the Dallas Cowboys (12-4) both have confirmed their playoff spot but the division hasn’t been conquered yet. The Eagles have the best shot at the title since all they have to do is secure a victory against the New York Giants, who will be mostly starting their backups since they have nothing to gain from this game.
The Dallas Cowboys, on the other hand, will have to win against the Washington Commanders and they also have to hope for an Eagles loss to clinch the NFC East and potentially the coveted No.1 seed in the NFC playoff picture. There are a lot of things at stake in the week of the NFL and Fox Sports analyst Skip Bayless feels optimistic about his Cowboys’ chances at winning the NFC East division.
Skip Bayless is optimistic about the Cowboys’ chances

While the odds are against the Cowboys to win the NFC East division, Skip Bayless feels good about his team’s tiny spec of a chance to win the sixth division title in their franchise’s history.
Speaking on his show UNDISPUTED with Shannon Sharpe, Bayless said, “There’s still a chance of a chance, there’s tiny spec of a chance somewhere out in the universe, the mathematics say that my team is alive.. barely alive for the division title.”
Bayless also acknowledged that the Giants can start their backups but he believes there’s still a chance that the Giants’ backups can beat the Eagles starters on any given Sunday. The long-time Cowboys fanatic also believes that the Giants owe his team and should try to win the game because Bayless believes that the Giants and the Cowboys have a respectful rivalry and the Dallas-based franchise has never had bad blood with them.
While it’s highly unlikely that the Giants will start their star players against the Eagles for no reason, there’s still a really tiny spec of chance that the Giants’ backup may beat the Philadelphia team, which will be a huge help for the Cowboys to clinch their sixth NFC East title.
