In one of the biggest shocks, the Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh took charge of the Los Angeles Chargers. After the success in college football, the head coach had multiple speculations on whether he would join professional football as a head coach. Finally, the head coach finished all the speculations with his appointment to the Chargers.

There were multiple reports that Harbaugh would not join the NFL as he would love to build a legacy in Michigan. Analyst Richard Sherman claimed that Harbaugh had unfinished business at Michigan. However, Harbaugh proved Sherman wrong by choosing the side of the Chargers.

The appointment of Jim Harbaugh triggered reactions from all corners. The craziest one came from the veteran analyst Skip Bayless. Taking to X, Bayless claimed that Harbaugh would win the Super Bowl with the Chargers squad and a not-so-reliable Justin Herbert.

The Los Angeles Chargers had a terrible 2023-24 season. They registered only five wins and had 12 losses. Justin Herbert had 20 touchdowns against seven interceptions for more than 3,100 yards. He had a completion rate of 65.1%. The performance of the quarterback was highly denounced by the analyst. The QB failed to give the Chargers the momentum that they needed to have.

Since Harbaugh has taken charge of the Chargers, he would be facing the biggest challenge to lead a turnaround in the game of Herbert. It is to be seen whether he chooses to do that or let Herbert go early.

Jim Harbaugh announced his return to professional football

Jim Harbaugh announced the return to professional football almost a decade later. He took charge of the Michigan team in the year 2015. After nine years of a brilliant coaching record in college football, he has come back to the arena he left with unfinished work.

Harbaugh started out as a head coach in professional football with the San Francisco 49ers. He held a great record as he took the team to the Super Bowl only to lose against his brother. In his four seasons, the Niners made it to the playoffs and the NFC Championship three consecutive times. He led the team to win three consecutive NFC West titles and a NFC Championship. His fourth season was a failure.

Harbaugh helped a Niners squad that was in the process of rebuilding itself. It is to be seen how he helps the Chargers who had a troubled time throughout the 2023-24 season.
