Aaron Rodgers‘ 2023 NFL season came to a premature end as he suffered an Achilles tear during the New York Jets‘ first offensive drive of the season. He has been nursing the injury ever since. Rodgers signed with the Jets earlier this season and was expected to lead them to the playoffs. However, that plan came crashing down as soon as Rodgers came crashing down in the first game.

Rodgers is planning a quick return to action though. He talked about potentially returning to the field by the playoff this season. He was seen throwing the football before the Jets’ latest game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Fox Sports analyst and face of the Undisputed show, Skip Bayless called out Rodgers for his attention-seeking act as the analyst claimed that he shouldn’t be throwing footballs so early after suffering a devastating injury.

“This is classic Aaron being Aaron, like, Look at me,” Skip Bayless said on the latest edition of the Undisputed Show. “I’m the toast in the talk of New York and I’m back and I’m doing things that are revolutionary. We know Aaron likes to experiment with all kinds of things including ayahuasca, go to South America and try that drug that’s illegal in the USA but I’m telling you, there is no drug out there that will make that tendon heal faster.”

The Jets are 3-3 without Rodgers. Backup QB Zach Wilson has taken charge of the quarterbacking duties in the absence of Rodgers. He has led the Jets to three wins in six games and has improved his performances. The Jets broke the Eagles’ unbeaten streak on Sunday and will look to build on this impressive win next weekend against the New York Giants.

Robert Saleh calls Aaron Rodgers a “Freakazoid”

Aaron Rodgers is a quarterbacking genius. He has been since entering the league back in 2005. According to the New York Jets’ head coach Robert Saleh, he is also a “freakazoid,” whatever that means. Rodgers suffered an Achilles tear earlier in the season but was seen standing on the sideline the entire game without crutches as the Jets broke the Philadelphia Eagles’ unbeaten streak.

“Aaron was in our facility on Saturday,” Saleh told Peter King. “He is on a mission. I don’t put anything past him. I’ve heard he’s absolutely dominating rehab and he really wants to get back this year. That’s why getting wins like this and staying in it and staying in the hunt, giving him that opportunity to fulfill his mission, is so vital. For him to be on the sideline standing the entire time, he’s a freakazoid.”

The Jets are 3-3 through six weeks and a potential wild card berth by the end of the regular season is still on the table for them. If they get in, Rodgers might be able to suit up for them. Still, a long way to go for that. The Jets will hope to win as many games as possible and get into the postseason.
