It’s that time of the year again! No, not Thanksgiving or Black Friday, or Christmas. It is the time when we NFL fans begin to speculate and put our bets on the player most likely to win the MVP award this season. This far into the season, we know what each team is capable of doing and whom we can rely upon to make it further into the playoffs.
DraftKings sportsbook has Patrick Mahomes at the top of their list to win the MVP award this season. Right behind him is Jalen Hurts, the quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, who has been sensational this season. Other notable features are Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and of course, Tua Tagovailoa.
Despite the level of competition being higher this season, we can successfully rule out the list of QBs likely to win the MVP award this season to around 4. Mahomes has to be on the list because of his stats and his skillet, Josh Allen has been stellar this season as the Buffalo Bills look like serious candidates to make the Super Bowl, and Tua Tagovailoa has proven that the Dolphins took the right decision by drafting him as he has been able to lead the team over every hump that it faces on its road.
However, there is one man who has won games and the hearts of many. It is none other than Jalen Hurts, the quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, who was once drafted in the second round of the NFL draft. Hurts led Philly to a flawless 8-0 run before they lost to the Commanders this week. Irrespective of this loss, Hurts has played great this year.

Skip Bayless thinks Jalen Hurts is looking like the complete package and perfect candidate to win MVP this season
Jalen Hurts is a born leader, a vocal figure in the locker room, and a teammate who everyone loves to play alongside. Due to these qualities, Undisputed analyst Skip Bayless is vouching for the young QB to win the MVP Honors this season.
“He’s a better leader, he’s more consistent, he’s more dependable, he’s changed life in Philadelphia. Right now, the more valuable player has been Jalen Hurts to date. Patrick Mahomes.. cost his team two games and Jalen has cost his team no games. Jalen won all of his because he is the whole show.” Skip Bayless believes Hurts has performed better than the likes of Tua Tagovailoa and Patrick Mahomes this season.
“It’s absurd, you cannot argue out of this one. It’s been Jalen Hurts form start to finish, it’s not even close. I’ve never seen anything like this before.” Skip concludes. Jalen Hurts has clearly been phenomenal this season. His story is one that is truly worthy of being an MVP-caliber one. However, we have to see how the Eagles fare against tougher competitors in the latter part of their season. This may impact Jalen Hurts’ MVP odds this season.
