The Las Vegas Raiders are 1-3 to begin their NFL campaign. They have lost three consecutive games after winning their season opener against the Denver Broncos. They did not have their starting quarterback in their recent loss against the Los Angeles Chargers as Jimmy Garoppolo was out due to a concussion. Rookie backup QB Aidan O’Connell replaced Garoppolo but wasn’t able to lead his team to victory.

Some Raiders fans voiced their frustrations to owner Mark Davis during the team’s loss to the Chargers. In a video posted on Twitter, Raiders fans told the owner to fire head coach Josh McDaniels after a poor start to the season. Davis did not take these demands and was seen screaming at the fans, asking them to “smarten up” as he repeatedly kept pointing to his head.

McDaniels faced a lot of criticism for his decision to kick a field goal late in the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 3 when the Raiders trailed by 8 points. It was a baffling decision, as a field goal only gave them three points instead of going for the touchdown and giving them a chance to tie the game. The pressure on McDaniels intensified after that incident, and with a loss against the Chargers, the frustrations of the fans boiled over.

The Raiders lost the game 24-17. They will play the Green Bay Packers in their next game on Monday and will look to get their season on track. A loss against the Packers would definitely irate the fans more than they already are. McDaniels might be coaching for his job next Monday.

Jimmy Garoppolo still the team’s starting quarterback according to head coach Josh McDaniels

The Las Vegas Raiders’ starting quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo, missed the team’s Week 4 loss against the Los Angeles Chargers due to a concussion. Rookie Aidan O’Connell replaced him for the game and was sacked seven times. McDaniels confirmed after the game that Garoppolo will be the starter for the team in week 5.

“Jimmy Garoppolo is still in concussion protocol. He’s still the Raiders QB when healthy, per Josh McDaniels,” NFL insider Andrew Siciliano reported on Monday. Garoppolo hasn’t had a great start to the season as he leads the league in interceptions with six.

Garoppolo signed a three-year, $72.75 million contract with the Raiders this offseason. $45 million of that is guaranteed. So far this season, Garoppolo has thrown for 709 yards and five touchdowns. He will hope to play well against the Green Bay Packers next Monday.
