The Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce had a great time hosting the renowned Saturday Night Live show on the weekend. The 2-time Super Bowl Champion had a blast making fun of his QB Patrick Mahomes, his brother Jason Kelce and himself on Saturday. However, the audience didn’t get to see one of the funny skits “NFL Gives Back” by the tight end on television since it got cut by SNL for some reason.
The 8-time Pro Bowl tight end Travis Kelce become the latest athlete to host the NBC television show Saturday Night Live. Kelce has mentioned previously that it was his dream to host the show and got his wish granted by the network. Furthermore, Kelce was natural in front of the camera and made everyone laugh with his witty humor.
At one stage the talented tight end even did his best impression of his teammate Patrick Mahomes. Furthermore, he joked about beating his brother, Jason Kelce, who played as the center for the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl last month. The 4-time All-Pro tight also poked fun at himself by joking about smoking weed while he was in college.
“I actually got kicked off the team because I tested positive for marijuana. So, it just goes to show you if you smoke weed and you’re bad at school, you can win the Super Bowl twice,” joked Kelce. However, the SNL for some reason cut one of the best parts of the show featuring Travis Kelce, the Eagles center Jason Kelce, and the Chiefs center Creed Humphrey.
Travis Kelce’s SNL skit got cut off on television
The parody video named NFL Give Back featuring the Kelce brothers and Creed Humphrey was the funny skit that got cut off on the Saturday Night Live show due to the length of the show. The sketch was about the massive NFL players volunteering to “throw around” average-sized guys’ girlfriends who want to feel like tiny women in hands of muscular men. Take a look at that hilarious skit below.
Even though the sketch was cut off on television, the Saturday Night Live show shared it on their social media accounts. Furthermore, fans on social media loved the skit and wondered why it got scrapped in the first place.
Nevertheless, the 33-year-old Chiefs TE Travis Kelce continues to have a good start to his year by winning a Super Bowl and hosting the SNL show. And judging by his performance in SNL, Kelce might have a good career once he retires from playing football.
