The New York Jets and the Green Bay Packers finally agreed to a trade involving 4x NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers. The trade was successfully carried out on Monday and was the highlight of the offseason since it has been in the works for almost 40 days.
In this blockbuster trade, the Packers received pick numbers 13, 42, and 207 in the 2023 NFL draft and a 2024 conditional second-round pick that will turn into a first-round pick if Rodgers plays 65 percent of the plays.
Everyone in the Big Apple is having the time of their lives, especially Sauce Gardner and Breece Hall. Both these Jets superstars heavily recruited Aaron Rodgers to their franchise and finally, the football gods have answered their prayers. They expressed their emotions by updating their Twitter profile picture to one of Rodgers’ California days.
However, there is one particular person in New York that isn’t happy at all – Zach Wilson. The 2021 second-overall pick seems to have lost the love and respect of his teammates because they are elated about someone else coming in and taking over his job.

Aaron Rodgers might have a tough time in the Jets camp thanks to Zach Wilson
Amidst the Aaron Rodgers trade, an old statement of Zach Wilson popped up which has gained a lot of unwanted attraction towards him. After the end of the 2022 regular season, the BYU alum was asked how he felt about the rumors of a veteran quarterback coming into the Jets camp.
To which Wilson said, “I’m going to make that dude’s life hell in practice every day. I’m going to go out there and do my best to show the coaches that I deserve to be there. It’s not in a negative way, it’s a positive way. It’s making everybody else better.”
Fans were already imagining scenarios in the Jets locker room, with Rodgers and Wilson going at it. To add fuel to the fire, the new Jets member Aaron Rodgers liked the tweet posted by Barstool Sports of Zach Wilson’s comments. This made the fans go absolutely nuts. Here are a few reactions.
This might be a golden opportunity for Zach Wilson to learn from one of the most talented quarterbacks to ever throw the football. It’ll be interesting to see how things turn out in New York. Will Aaron Rodgers be able to lead the Jets to their first-ever playoff appearance since 2010 or not?
