Aaron Rodgers continues to leave football fans scratching their heads and asking the question, how? How can a 39-year-old guy who tore his Achilles just a couple of months ago walk around like it never happened? And now there’s even news that he even caught an interception in practice.

A quarterback catching a pick? That does sound interesting. A few on social media don’t even want to believe the news because it sounds a bit out of place. Well, if he were completely fit, then maybe people would give Rodgers the benefit of the doubt, but he recently had surgery.

The Super Bowl winner switched from Green Bay to the New York Jets in the 2023 offseason to fill up the position that Gan Green desperately required. Despite being on the wrong side of 30, Aaron Rodgers was the man to lead the Jets into a new era and pass the torch to Zach Wilson once he has his fill.

Tragedy struck on the very first day of the regular season against the Buffalo Bills. But he had decided to get back on the field this season. Sure enough, he started attending Jets games first with crutches and then shocked the entire country by walking on his two feet just 77 days later.

Even Robert Salah declared they were opening a 21-day watch window on the veteran. There was even a clip that showed he was throwing passes in practice and doing some lighthearted runs. But ESPN’s Rich Cimini claimed he caught an interception during Friday’s training session in Jersey.

Social media is having a hard time believing that Aaron Rodgers made an interception in Jets practice

One has to turn back time to way back to 1961 when the Bills’ first-round draft pick Richie Lucas caught an official interception. But there’s a little trade secret as to how that happened. Lucas also used to play as a defensive back on occasion. There’s no such record of any QB making an interception while playing in that position.

Now, even if it sounds farfetched, that quarterback’s catching stray passes in practice, fans must remember it’s just practice. However, in Aaron Rodgers’ case, his recent injury woes make it even more debatable for the netizens.

The reality is, as Cimini reported, Rodgers has been taking part in 7-on-7 drills since he was cleared to practice. He filled in at linebacker on New York’s scout team’s defense for a few reps.

Jets tackle Duane Brown was in awe of what his quarterback did in the practices, as per Cimini.

He [Rodgers] jumped up and caught it with one hand. He contested a catch and picked it off. In the moment, you're like, 'Oh, he jumped up and caught it." But now it's like, 'What the f*** are you doing?'
Brown said

Unfortunately, there’s no video evidence (as of now) of the glorious moment. Despite that, someone injuring their Achilles, going through surgery, and returning to practice in under 3 months, which takes about 9–10 months of recovery time, is incredible, to say the least. If Aaron Rodgers does intend to achieve the outrageous feat of playing this season, then the earliest he can would be the Washington Commanders game on December 24.
