The 7-8 Green Bay Packers desperately needed a win against the Minnesota Vikings if they were to clinch a playoff berth. Without a speck of doubt, the Packers delivered at Lambeau Field and utterly humiliated the NFC North Champions with a 41-17 win. The Packers displayed their mentality to win right from the start and continued to do so as they led 41-3 at the end of the third quarter. The Vikings scored two touchdowns in the final 15 minutes of the game but it wasn’t enough as they exited Lambeau Field with their heads hung down.
The Packers are currently on a hot streak of four wins and are looking to end the season with another win and keep their hopes for a playoff seat alive. One of the reasons for Green Bay’s late-season wins is Keisean Nixon. The 25-year-old cornerback gave the Packers the start they needed with a 105-yards kick return touchdown.
The Packers’ offense score only two touchdowns during the game but the defense was in control of the entire match. The defense recorded three interceptions one of them leading to a 75-yard interception return touchdown. The Vikings on the other hand were playing badly thus bolstering the critic’s view that their 12-3 mark was a fluke and didn’t signify that Minnesota was a Super Bowl contender.

Keisean Nixon turns out to be the GOAT for the Packers

Keisean Nixon, 25, has been the return specialist for the Packers since taking over from Amari Rodgers in November. Nixon led the NFL with 825 kick-return yards before the Vikings game. His 105-yard TD was his second consecutive kick return touchdown as he scored a 93-yarder against the Miami Dolphins last Sunday. Nixon has proven himself to be the best return specialist in the league right now.
It is quite a difficult task for a return specialist to score a touchdown with swarms of players running in your direction to put you down. And then there’s Keisean Nixon who’s done it two times in two games. Nixon is a dangerous guy and fans on Twitter share the same view of the cornerback.
Nobody can say for sure whether the Packers make it to the playoffs or not but if Keisean Nixon is at the helm of the special teams then maybe it might help the Packers score that extra point which might make a difference for them. Let’s see how it all turns out for Green Bay in the final week of the regular season.
