The New York Giants orchestrated a massive upset in the wildcard round when they marched into the U.S. Bank Stadium and killed the dreams of the Minnesota Vikings and their fans by beating them in a slugfest. Furthermore, the Giants’ nose tackle Dexter Lawrence thrashed the Vikings physically and mentally in the team’s first playoff victory since 2012.
The 4th-year defensive lineman has been a monster this season and is a vital player in that gritty defense. He has registered a career-high 7.5 sacks this season and played at a Pro Bowl for the New York football team. The Clemson product wasn’t able to register a sack in his first playoff appearance and yet managed to make his presence known in the biggest game of his career yet.
Lawrence managed to get all up in the face of the Vikings QB Kirk Cousins by overpowering the offensive lineman physically and mentally. He was chirping throughout the game and fortunate for us; he was mic’d up for the game. “Five, six (referring to Bradberry’s jersey no 56), you going to take me out?” he asked the Vikings center, Garrett Bradbury. “You give me more hugs than my girlfriend give me. Come on, man. I know it’s hard. You signed up for this.”
After the game, the cameras also got the Giants’ rookie defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux praising Lawrence. “You’re the greatest player I’ve ever played with,” said Thibodeaux to his fellow defensive lineman.

Fans on social media liked the Giants defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence’s trash talks during his first playoff appearance. The former first-round pick was mic’d up during the wildcard game that gave the NFL some hilarious content.
The 7th-seeded Giants managed to defeat the NFC North champions and the third-seeded Vikings 31-24 and move on to the next round. The Giants QB Daniel Jones had a stellar game as he threw for 301 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 78 yards while averaging 4.6 yards per carry.
The Giants running back Saquon Barkley, who is the frontrunner for the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award, rushed for 53 yards while averaging 5.9 yards per carry and also scored two touchdowns.
The New York Giants have another tough task coming ahead as they are preparing to face their AFC EAST division rivals and the 1st seeded Philadelphia Eagles led by Pro-Bowl QB Jalen Hurts this weekend.
