The No.3 TCU Horned Frogs just got demolished by the No.1 Georgia Bulldogs in the CFP National Championship game. Kirby Smart‘s Bulldogs have started a new dynasty in college football after back-to-back title wins.

When TCU was ranked ahead of some powerhouses like Tennessee, Alabama, and LSU, some people argued that the Big 12 team cannot compete with the big dogs in the college football playoffs. However, TCU proved everyone wrong by beating the Michigan Wolverines in the CFP semi-final. TCU’s star power offense led by Max Duggan and the projected No.1 wide receiver in the 2023 NFL Draft Quentin Johnston has repeatedly dug their team out of some deep holes throughout the season to reach the CFP Final.

Even after their comfortable victory against the No.2 Wolverines at the Fiesta Bowl, many people weren’t convinced and said they would not win against Georgia. On the other side, Georgia somehow managed to crawl to the final after the Ohio State kicker missed what would’ve been a game-winning field goal right at the stroke of the New Year’s midnight. Georgia won the Peach Bowl game 42-41 against the No.4 Ohio State Buckeyes.

The semifinal showdowns did not convince many people that TCU could beat the Bulldogs, but no one could’ve predicted the bloodbath that happened at the CFP Final. During the first quarter, the TCU star QB Max Duggan completed a 60-yard touchdown to his WR Derius Davis, and the scoreboard read 7-10 in favor of Georgia at that time. But unfortunately for football fans and TCU, that was the only sign of life that TCU showed all game.

Georgia absolutely decimated the Horned Frogs after TCU managed to score one touchdown. The game was over by halftime when Georgia took a commanding 38-7 lead and just needed to run the clock out.

Georgia senior quarterback and Heisman trophy finalist Stetson Bennett was named the offensive MVP of the game for his brilliant performance. The 25-year-old QB threw for 304 yards and four touchdowns and also rushed for two more touchdowns.

Fans on social media did not like the fact that TCU didn’t show any fight at all. Everybody knew the Horned Frogs will go down against the SEC Champions but they expected TCU to show some fight as the Georgia football team won the game 65-7 in a dominating fashion.

Fans believe this abysmal showdown has ruined and setback college football since the playoff committee will now be hesitant to vote small conference teams into the playoffs. The 58-point margin is the largest victory margin in college Bowl Game history.
