The Jim Harbaugh scenario has taken an interesting turn after the attorneys representing the University of Michigan football coach filed a breach of contract complaint Friday night. According to reports, it contains a plea for a restraining order on the supposed suspension by the Big Ten teams of the Wolverines head coach.
They argue that if Harbaugh is not present during Michigan’s next game against No. 3-ranked Penn State, then it may cause irreparable harm to the coach, the players, and the university. It’s a direct response to Big Ten commissioner Tony Petitti‘s announcement that the Big Ten had filed an appeal to suspend Harbaugh for three matches for violating ethical sportsmanship policy.
However, the attorney argued that the commissioner took the decision in a hurry and did not provide a window to present their case. But Petitti claimed that they had enough evidence to impose the suspension on the 59-year-old.
Michigan was accused of stealing signs from other teams. An employee named Connor Stalions, who resigned last week, reportedly bought tickets to Big Ten school games and videotaped the call signs. Multiple schools revealed tickets were bought in the name of the Stalions for the past three seasons.
Despite the release of the alleged perpetrator and his denial of being linked with all the sign-stealing, Harbaugh will miss out on the rest of the season. It will be heard under the bench of Judge Timothy Connors, as per Joe Pompliano.
Michigan alumni will hear Jim Harbaugh’s legal application to seek a stay of his suspension
There is a slight anomaly that has risen since the court filing. Apparently, Connors is a Michigan alumnus, and not only that, he was a lecturer at the University of Michigan Law College. It does not end there. A source claimed that he played football for the Wolverines in 1972.

Social media is in awe as to how an ex-Michigan will be in charge of a hearing involving the same institution. They suspect something is off.
It’s a weird predicament, indeed. Then again, it’s hard to conclude just yet. If the ruling against Jim Harbaugh and the suspension on him are intact, then, as per ESPN, the acting head coach in Happy Valley would be Mike Hart, the team’s running backs coach. He previously took over the role during the second half in a win against UNLV.
