Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl LVII against the NFC powerhouse Philadelphia Eagles in a last-minute thriller game. There was not a single moment during the game where the viewers were bored or thought of turning off the live stream. There were drama and touchdowns in every quarter of this Super Bowl, which made it one of the best ever played.
The Chiefs got very lucky as the game was tied 35-35 with one minute and 54 seconds left in regulation. But thanks to the refs, Kansas City got an automatic first down as they penalized Eagles cornerback James Bradberry and the clock kept on running during the entire commotion. Harrison Butker kicked the winning field goal and Philly got the ball with four seconds left and obviously couldn’t do anything to level the score.
Super Bowl LVII’s ending was very much similar to that of the AFC Championship game between the Chiefs and the Bengals. KCC was on third and down just like they were on Sunday night and were not in field goal range. Again, the refs threw a flag on Joseph Ossai for unnecessary roughing of the passer which put the Chiefs in the field goal, and Butker smoothly kicked that one as well. This enraged the fans and everyone on social media said that the game was scripted because the NFL clearly favors Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.

Roger Goodell shares a long hug with Chris Jones
After the Chiefs won the Super Bowl, players, coaches, and family members rushed onto the field to hug their loved ones and congratulate them on becoming the World Champions. During the festivities, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell also joined in and wished the Chiefs players on their victory. FOX Sports: NFL shared a video on Twitter that showed Goodell sharing a long embrace with Chiefs’ DL Chris Jones.
This hug between the two clearly wasn’t a good thing as fans were already enraged and blaming the NFL for scripting the game and giving preferential treatment to Mahomes and Co. During their weird hug, Goodell was heard saying, “I don’t care how you hit the quarterback.” No one clearly understood what this actually meant, but boy did it add fire to the NFL being scripted campaign.
During the Super Bowl Media Day, Roger Goodell said that the officiating has been the best it ever was. Now, this is just an outrageous statement because, looking back, this season has been one of the worst in officiating. Important games were lost because of missed or unnecessary calls. This really has to change because fans have had it with the bad officiating.
