Tony Romo (Bleacher Report)
Tony Romo’s commentary for the Bengals-Bills divisional round matchup was highly controversial as many were finding the mute button after some of the comments made by the former NFL QB.
The former Cowboys QB was in the commentary booth alongside Jim Nantz for the Bengals-Bills game. Unfortunately, it wasn’t Romo’s best day at the office as he had countless blunders throughout the game that enraged many fans, resulting in the former QB getting trolled mercilessly.
Romo was making awkward noises throughout the game. There were even moments when he wasn’t sure what to say and the game was filled with awkward silences. However, the most controversial piece of commentary arrived when Romo called Josh Allen’s sneak strategy a ‘tush-push’.
The game was filled with blunders by the commentary department. There were even moments when his co-commentator Jim Nantz decided to add some content by asking Romo about Chiefs‘ Patrick Mahomes’ ankle injury. However, the former QB failed to answer the question and looked like he was chewing something.
Tony is being paid massive dollars by CBS Sports to handle their commentary. The 42-year-old was offered a 10-year $180 million deal, which is the largest contract in sportscasting history.
His contract, coupled with his output in the Bengals-Bills game, agitated many people who asked for a change in the commentary department at the earliest.
