“We do not deserve this TERROR”: “Steelers’ Cam Heyward addresses concerns on the terrible shooting in Texas school

The United States of America once again suffered a horrific shooting at school in Texas, the biggest in recent years. A 18-year old boy shot down 19 fourth grade students and two teachers at Robb Elementary School on Tuesday.

This has sparked a widespread sense of horror throughout the country, and even NFL players have taken the opportunity to share their thoughts on the brutal killing of growing kids. Pittsburgh Steelers skipper Cam Heyward also chimed in to raise his voice against it.

Cam Heyward said via NFL twitter, “From Buffalo to Texas… Man this is heartbreaking. We are losing our children, our friends, brothers, sisters and just so many people who do not deserve this terror. Looking at my children, and knowing I can’t always be there for them scares the hell out of me. Change is needed.”

The 33-year old has three kids, two daughters and one son. The concern following the shooting of the kids in the Uvalde school is legit, given the rise in the number of such cases all over the country.

However, on the footballing front Cam Heyward has to take over the reins of Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who called it a day this year. The Steelers are undergoing a major change in their franchise, and will see Omar Khan take on the general manager role at the franchise.
