The Buffalo Bills under their franchise QB Josh Allen are currently preparing for the upcoming season. They have built a strong roster over the years with talent all across the field. However, in recent months, one of their star players, Stefon Diggs, is reportedly unhappy with the team not being able to win anything big despite being strong contenders.
In the 2023 off-season, there were even reports that Diggs wanted out of Buffalo due to his alleged beef with the Bills quarterback. But last month, Diggs put all the rumors to sleep by claiming he “100%” still wants to retire as a Buffalo Bill.
However, now a recent report from the well-renowned ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith suggests that Diggs is still unhappy in Buffalo, but he’s just staying there due to his contract. Smith claimed that Diggs doesn’t want to force his way out of the Buffalo-based football team, but he remains not satisfied with the team.
So, once again, rumors started flying about Diggs wanting to be traded away by the Bills. The rumors prompted the Pro Bowl receiver Stefon Diggs to address the issue on social media.
“100% not true. I don’t know who the source is but I thought I nip this shit in the bud already,” posted Diggs on the social media platform X. Even though the Bills receiver didn’t mention Smith by name, it was presumed that he addressed the rumors fueled by the ESPN analyst.
Stefon Diggs has been a massive asset for the Bills
Prior to the 2020 NFL Draft, the Bills acquired Stefon Diggs from the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for a few draft picks, including a first-rounder. The deal worked out for both teams.
Diggs has been a massive asset in the Bills offensive unit. In his three years with the Bills so far, the talented pass catcher has registered 4,189 receiving yards and 29 receiving touchdowns.
He has also played a huge role in the development of Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen. After an average rookie year, Allen started to play at an MVP level after the Bills added Diggs to their squad. Furthermore, under the combination of Allen and Diggs, the Bills have won three consecutive AFC East division titles.
But now, they would be focused on the bigger picture. Allen, Diggs, and the Bills would be looking to win the Super Bowl before their window closes. If Allen and Diggs can stay healthy for the entire season, the Bills have a shot at winning the championship in the upcoming season.
