The Buffalo Bills have had a slow start to the season this year. The team lost to the New York Jets with Zach Wilson as the QB. The Bills then proceeded to have 3 back-to-back victories in impressive fashion before losing to the Jacksonville Jaguars earlier this week. The best highlight of the night belonged to the Buffalo Bills, however, it was not a play on the field but was wideout Stefon Diggs breaking a tablet on the sideline.
Diggs was clearly distraught over not getting enough targets and the fact that they needed to put points on the board. However, his behavior was criticized by fans and analysts. Shannon Sharpe of ESPN’s First Take called out Stefon Diggs over his unprofessional behavior on the sidelines.

Sharpe had this to say, “Stefon Diggs, other guys are out at practice, meeting, practicing just as hard as you are.” He called Stefon Diggs out for throwing a tantrum on the sidelines as it sets a bad example. If Diggs got more targets as a result of expressing his frustration, then it would mean that anytime a receiver is not getting enough targets, if he were to break a tablet or two, the team would give him more targets.
In the last two years, the NFL has witnessed a record surge in casualties suffered by their tablets. Thanks to Tom Brady, who broke two tablets on the sidelines when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers faced off against the New Orleans Saints.
The NFL has since made this an offense and fines players for slamming their tablets. Stefon Diggs, the wideout for the Buffalo Bills, is the most recent player to have taken his frustration out on a tablet on the sidelines.

Shannon Sharpe believes Stefon Diggs is interested in padding his personal stats rather than winning
Sharpe also went on to add, “I do believe Stefon Diggs wants to win but I believe Stefon Diggs wants to win with his numbers. That’s what Stefon Diggs wants…I don’t like that type of behavior.”
The former player then went on to accuse Stefon Diggs of “showing up his quarterback” . Elaborating on his point, Sharpe justifies, “I believe that whatever problem that we might have, I can wait until I get to the locker room…but to show up in front of 80,000 in attendance and the millions of people that were watching on television. That’s just unacceptable.”

Diggs has not been shy to express his displeasure over some of the offensive decisions made by his team. He has had 39 receptions, 520 yards, and 5 touchdowns already this season. Last season, Diggs was targetted a total of 154 times, the 5th highest amongst NFL receivers.
Stefon has been frustrated over the Bills inability to make it to the Super Bowl and this year, he appears to be hungrier than ever to overcome this hurdle.
