The Buffalo Bills are 5-4 through nine games of the season. They were convincingly beaten by the Cincinnati Bengals in their week 9 game. The Bills are currently second in their division behind the Miami Dolphins. They have some of the best players in the league in Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs, but the Bills have failed to take the NFL by storm despite being a strong contender for the Super Bowl in the offseason.
There is always a fear of injury in a sport like football. Diggs had a scare this week. He was limited in practice the last couple of days due to a back injury. However, it doesn’t look severe as the star wideout does not carry any injury designation for the Bills’ game against the Denver Broncos. He is set to play on Sunday.
Diggs said about his injury on Saturday:
A little bit of maintenance. I had some stuff leftover from the game. I [participated fully in] practice [Thursday]. So, just trying to stay ahead of it. I didn't have too many issues, but rather be proactive than reactive.
The receiver said that the team is being smart about his injury in taking a couple of limited days of practice.
Diggs has been held to under 100 receiving yards in his last three games. Before that, the star receiver had four consecutive 100 receiving yards games. So far this season, Diggs has accumulated 834 yards on 70 receptions and has seven touchdowns.
Stefon Diggs was frustrated during the Bills’ recent loss to the Bengals
The Buffalo Bills have lost three of their last five games. As a result of that, they are in serious danger of slipping out of the playoff picture this season. During their latest loss against the Cincinnati Bengals, WR Stefon Diggs was heated by the end of the first half.
The star receiver reportedly went to the locker room and yelled:
I'm not even sweating. I'm not even f**king sweating.
The Allen-Diggs connection wasn’t working in the first half. They did connect in the second half to cut the lead to just six points, but it was too late. The Bengals won the game, 24-18 and improved to 5-3. The Bills on the other hand slipped to 5-4.
Diggs finished the game with six receptions for 86 yards and one score. This marked his third consecutive game without 100 receiving yards. The Bills will play their next game against the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football.
