As free agency begins and the NFL offseason commences, a different version of Stefon Diggs is seen on social media. ‘Desperate Diggs’, as this version of him should be known, begins to post cryptic posts expressing frustration over the position he is in with the Buffalo Bills.

For the last three years, the team has continued to lose in the playoffs, and they have struggled to get over the Kansas City Chiefs hump.

This time, things are no different as Stefon Diggs is back to posting cryptic posts online. He recently posted two separate messages on his X account, the first being a captionless one with just the heart emoji and another stating “Ready for watever.” Does this mean Diggs expects to be traded or is asking to be traded?

Absolutely not. At this point, Diggs has turned himself into a character similar to The boy who cried Wolf. On a recent appearance on the Up & Adams show the wide receiver revealed his intention to retire as a member of the Buffalo Bills. Irrespective of the rough streak the team has been facing, he said the team is “always going to be family no matter how it shakes.”

Stefon Diggs had a disappointing performance when the team needed him to show up. He dropped a crucial pass in the 4th quarter with 8 minutes left to go.

It was a beautiful pass thrown by Josh Allen to him at the 20-yard line. The wide receiver was open, and had he made the catch, it was guaranteed to have been a touchdown for his team. Diggs ended the game with just 21 yards.

For the longest time, the wide receiver has been complaining about the fact that he does not get enough passes thrown in his direction in crucial games. 3

But this time around, even though he got a chance to prove himself, he did not take it. Diggs is currently playing on a four-year contract, which he signed in 2022 and is worth $124 million.

The odds of him being traded to another team at this juncture are doubtful. The Buffalo Bills have been taking their offseason seriously. The team has already cut five of its players from their roster to make space for key players. It will be interesting to see what the final roster will look like in the coming weeks.
