Stephen A Smith and Terrell Owens don’t like each other. It started a couple of years ago when Owens made a guest appearance on Smith’s ESPN show First Take. At that time Smith was co-hosting the show with former ESPN sports analyst Max Kellerman. During the show Owens said, “Max almost seems blacker than you Stephen A.” Smith did not like this comment and the beef began.
Kellerman was fired from the show back in 2021, and ESPN let go of him in June this year. Smith appeared on a podcast and opened up about his working relationship with Kellerman and why it didn’t work out with him. Smith said he did not like working with Kellerman and that the show was stale with him. He received a lot of criticism for this statement and one of his criticizers was Owens. He retweeted a video of him calling Kellerman blacker than Smith and captioned it saying “FACTS!!!!!!!!!”
Smith retaliated by tweeting, “Now….as for this dude, that’s an entirely different story. You know how I feel about your sorry ass @terrellowens and you know why! You should thank your Heavenly Father I haven’t zeroed in on you with the trifling shit you tried to pull. Tell folks to ask ESPN what your desperate ass tried to pull. Keep on talking. Eventually, you’ll expose yourself!#REALFACTS”
In another tweet Smith wrote, “Or…….maybe I’ll just dedicate the entire Stephen A. Smith Show/Podcast on YouTube this Monday to all the things you tried to do behind the scenes — to BROTHERS — over the years while claiming someone is more of a Brother than others. Let me thing about that over the next 24 hours!!!!#SickOfTHIS.#Enough”
It will be a fascinating morning on Monday when Smith appears on his show. Smith co-hosts the show with former NFL legend, Shannon Sharpe, who ended his long-time association with Fox Sports earlier this year. Sharpe will appear on the show alongside Smith going forward.
Stephen A Smith claims Shannon Sharpe was ‘pushed out’ of Undisputed
Shannon Sharpe recently joined ESPN after spending the last seven years with Fox Sports. He was the co-host of the Undisputed Show on Fox Sports with Skip Bayless. Sharpe announced earlier this year that he will be leaving Fox Sports after the 2023 NBA Finals. He joined Stephen A. Smith on his show First Take on ESPN.

Smith recently appeared on The Joe Budden Podcast and revealed that Sharpe did not leave Undisputed on his “over his own volition” but was “pushed out.” Smith said, “I’m telling you he was pushed out, It’s fact. They can deny it. He wouldn’t. I can promise you that. He was pushed out. He didn’t want to leave. He was notified that ‘your services would no longer be needed’. That’s his story to tell. I’m telling you what I know. I’m giving you facts.”
A source from Fox Sports told NY Post, “We have nothing but love and respect for Shannon and we remain grateful for his contributions to Fox Sports. We wish him continued success in his new chapter.” Sharpe will appear on First Take on Mondays and Tuesdays. He took his popular podcast, ‘Club Shay Shay’ to Colin Cowherd‘s network The Volume.
