Donald Trump, during a rally hosted by super PAC Buckeye Values in Dayton, Ohio, announced that there would be a ‘bloodbath’ if he is not re-elected. Similar to most of his stories, this became a national talking point, and allegedly some media houses blew the context out of proportion.
The former President of the United States of America appeared in Ohio on Saturday, supporting Bernie Moreno; going up against state Senator Matt Dolan and Secretary of State Frank LaRose in the Republican primary. The winner will face Democrat Senator Sherrod Brown.

Trump was busy endorsing Moreno, but reportedly without a teleprompter. As a result, some of his words were a bit muffled and inaudible. But in typical Donald Trump fashion, the beneficiary of MAGA Inc. was in a fiery mood. His relentless verbal attacks on Joe Biden and his crew were the subject matter of his speech.
Sticking to the norm, a part of his monologue has become headlines overnight. Top media networks alleged that Trump threatened the people of the United States that if they did not re-elect him into the Oval Office in the upcoming election, then there would be severe consequences.
If I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole. It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country. That will be the least of it.Trump said, as per media channels
However, the owner and COO of X (formerly Twitter), Elon Musk, pointed out that it’s a set-up. He tweeted Trump’s speech and a screenshot of headlines from several outlets focusing only on ‘bloodbath’ instead of showing the entire picture.
The interesting part is that NFL analyst and a devout Democrat like Stephen A. Smith surprisingly showed support for Trump.
Based purely on this video, if it is accurate, then that would be true. It seems Donald Trump's words were taken out of context, reading the headlines I’ve read. Fair is fair!Smith retweeted Musk’s post with the above caption
Was Donald Trump’s ‘bloodbath’ speech misquoted?
Besides allegedly invoking a ‘bloodbath’ if he loses the election, Donald Trump added that this would be the last time anyone gets to cast their vote. The 77-year-old claimed that there won’t be elections in the future and that the people will be stuck with the current regime.

However, upon closer inspection, Trump’s ‘bloodbath’ comment isn’t literal but rather metaphorical. Campaign spokesperson Karoline Leavitt later clarified to NBC what he was trying to convey.
[Joe] Biden’s policies will create an economic bloodbath for the auto industry and autoworkers.Leavitt said.
During the monologue, there’s a mention of the automobile industry.
They’re not going to sell those cars. They’re building massive factories.Trump said while cautioning about not seeing any future elections.
Anyway, even though Stephen A. Smith backed Trump on this occasion, he has previously stated that he will be voting Democrat. That only means when the election comes, he will prefer Trump’s defeat.
