The 2024 NBA All-Star game is around the corner, and Stephen A. Smith wants to take home the bragging rights. The All-Star weekend will start on Friday, February 16th, at the Indianapolis Colts Lucas Oil Stadium. Similar to previous years, the event will feature several activities.
One of them will be the basketball game between two teams consisting of celebrities from various fields. Smith will take charge of one of the teams, assisted by WNBA star A’ja Wilson and platinum rapper Lil Wayne as his right and left-hand men.

The ESPN analyst’s team is comprised of familiar faces. From America’s favorite artist Jennifer Hudson, NBA Champion Metta World Peace, YouTuber Tristan Jass, basketball entertainer Jack Ryan, singer and Backstreet Boy AJ McLean, well-known chef Kwame Onwuachi, WNBA’s Natasha Cloud, to NFL’s CJ Stroud, Grammy-nominated musician Adam Blackstone, and Olympic High Jump Champion Gianmarco Tamberi.
Smith already flew into Indi to give his team some first-hand private lessons. Ironically, his guinea pig was Micah Parsons, who was on the opposing team. For the last few months, the pair had been at each other’s throats, whether it was on TV or social media.
However, all that’s in the past, and the NBA All-Stars game is a time for everyone to enjoy. So Parsons (perhaps unwillingly) went along with Smith’s wishes as the veteran sportscaster with a basketball background demonstrated to his team how to guard the Dallas Cowboys pass rusher.

The 24-year-old All-Pro linebacker is part of Smith’s First Take colleague Shannon Sharpe‘s team. Sharpe’s two assistants are NFL Hall of Famer Peyton Manning and Grammy-winning rapper 50 Cent.
Moreover, the retired tight end’s team too has several noteworthy names similar to Smith’s. Besides Parsons, there is Chinese actor Dylan Wang, comedian Lilly Singh, and Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA. NASCAR racer Conor Daly, WNBA star Jewel Loyd, actor Quincy Isaiah, streamer and YouTuber Kai Cenat, Walker Hayes, and Grammy-nominated artist SiR.

Meanwhile, Smith was busy taking advantage of Parsons being present at their practice session. He said,
All you have to do is get up on him, right? Take away the jump shot. Make him drop. The second he drops, he is going to run over you. OFFENSIVE FOUL.Stephen A. Smith said
Hearing Smith’s clever strategy brought out a chuckle from his team. On the other hand, fans on social media had some hilarious takes.
Last year, in the NBA All-Stars game, Utah Jazz Governor Ryan Smith‘s team faced off against NBA legend Dwyane Wade‘s side. Team Wade took home the spoils, with Seahawks wide receiver D.K. Metcalf bagging the MVP, scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 blocks. They beat Smith’s team 78-81. Will another Smith take revenge this time around?
