Stephen A. Smith is currently the host of one of the most popular sports shows on television. He is the host of the ESPN show First Take — which has rotating guests — along with Molly Qerim. The show is leading sports television in viewership mostly thanks to the entertainment aspect of it. In one such entertaining segment, things got awkward when Stephen A. Smith made an inappropriate joke about Molly on live television.

In a recent episode of the ESPN show First Take, Stephen A. Dan Orlovsky and Molly Qerim were discussing Davante Adams‘ frustration with the Las Vegas Raiders offense. During the segment, Molly Qerim’s phone went off which set off Stephen A. “That’s Molly’s cellphone ringing by the way,” said Smith.

Qerim then noted that her phone didn’t ring but just vibrated, which prompted Stephen A. to make an inappropriate joke. “I tried to say ring. Do you want me to say vibrating on the air? You always like me mentioning vibrating on air when your phone rings,” said Smith while Orlovsky seemed to be hiding his laugh by covering his face with a towel. “I said ringing, just go with the ring, Molly. Go with the ring. I’m trying to avoid the vibrating.”

The joke went from hilarious to awkward in just minutes, which led Molly to quickly shut down the topic. “Stephen A. this isn’t The Stephen A. Smith show on YouTube, alright? This is Disney,” said Molly as the producers quickly cut to Tyreek Hill highlights.

The awkward yet hilarious segment was clipped by a random X user, who then posted the video on his profile. The brief video went viral and accumulated nearly 6 million views within hours.

The First Take host Stephen A. said Tagovailoa is just jumping 2-yard passes and is getting massively carried by the Dolphins’ All-Pro pass catcher Tyreek Hill. “I don’t know if y’all watching Miami enough. All of these passes ain’t for 19, 20, 30, 40 yards. You just got Tua dipping it two yards to [Tyreek Hill],” said Smith.

Stephen A Smith’s hot take received plenty of backlash from social media and even Miami’s star receiver Tyreek clapped back at the ESPN personality for his harsh criticisms about Tua.
