The American television sports personality Stephen A. Smith, who is known as the best commentator on ESPN’s First Take, always has strong opinions of various things. While discussing which fan base should be most hopeless? Smith targeted the Giants, claiming their involvement in the bad odor around the meadowlands.
So, basically, ESPN’s Smith has a theory regarding ‘the odd sulfuric smell‘ that comes around from the Meadowlands surrounding the MetLife Stadium. He doesn’t agree with the reasoning that the area was the source of uncontrolled pollution for years.
In fact, Stephen A. Smith believes that the New York Giants are behind the odd smell and they are to blame. “The Giants are the reason that the outskirts of New York City, through the Lincoln Tunnel, is stinking up the North East Corridor. It’s because the damn Giants just stink right now,” he elaborated.
“The Giants..look at this..the offense has a total of five touchdowns this season, 13 individual players have as many touchdowns as the New York Giants as a team, offensively this season committed zero turnovers and for the second straight league week, you still lost. You are 0-5 in the red zone,” Smith further added.
This season, the New York Giants are at the bottom in football with a -96 scoring difference, worse than the Patriots at -80. They’ve only managed five offensive touchdowns, the NFL’s worst. Stephen A. Smith labeled them ‘hot garbage’, which might be an exaggeration. They’ve improved a bit since their 24-3 loss to the Seahawks in Week 4, but it’s still not sufficient.

How Stephen A. Smith roasted the Giants for being trash and making bad decisions
Well, this isn’t a surprise that Stephen A. Smith called the Giants as garbage. Previously, on First Take, the ESPN commentator turned the conversation around to criticize the Giants for firing the offensive coordinator Jason Garrett.

It happened after the Giants’ 30-10 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, leaving them with a record of 3-7 for heading into the NFC East showdown with the Philadelphia Eagles, at MetLife Stadium.
Smith was candidly asked if the Giants are his destination franchise. To which, he replied saying, “They’re trash! OK? They’re not attractive at all. They have made the playoffs one time in the last 11 years!” Continuing on, Stephen A. Smith pointed out that the Giants’ starting quarterback had thrown nine touchdowns and seven interceptions in only 10 games this season.
