“Eric Johnson should be removed from office immediately,” Stephen A. Smith launches vicious attack on Dallas mayor following his new franchise request

The Dallas Cowboys have found themselves in the media, after city Mayor Eric Johnson made an outrageous proposal a few days ago. He claimed that given Dallas’ overall growth as a city, they should be having a second franchise to rival the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL.
This proposal from the Mayor has been met with ridicule and shock with most of the followers of the league, and leading ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith is no different. The 54-year old did not hold back in his assessment of the Mayor’s comments on a second franchise to be created based out of Dallas.
Stephen A. Smith does not want Dallas to have a second NFL team
Stephen A. Smith spoke on ESPN’s First Take show alongside Marcus Spears and ripped the Mayor to shreds for coming up with such a ridiculous idea. He even mimicked Dallas Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones as to how the veteran owner would look to get him out of his office after the end of his spell.
“I want that man removed from office. And I want to make sure the world understands that that man, Eric Johnson, should be removed from office immediately. And if I’m Jerry Jones, I want him out. I want him gone. What blasphemy! And this is coming from me, of all people. Listen, how do you justify saying something so nonsensical? The Dallas Cowboys, and I can’t believe I got to find myself in a position where I’m saying this.”
Stephen A. Smith continued saying, “This is the number one brand in all of sports. Considering the popularity of the NFL, combined with the fact that this is the number one brand. And you’re talking about the stars on the helmets, the cheerleaders, the billion-dollar play pin, and Jerry Jones is the owner. For the local mayor in the city of Dallas to advocate for another football team? They should have a petition to get him removed from office immediately.”
