ESPN journalist Stephen A. Smith is well known for his extravagant personality and loud opinions on many sports including NFL and NBA. Recently, he met his match as he linked up with the WWE icon and future Hall of Famer Paul Heyman.
In a photo shared by Stephen A. Smith, the ESPN analyst could be seen hanging out with Heyman. The duo seemingly ran into each other at the 2024 BSM Summit, which happened in New York City. Both Smith and Heyman had interviews at the Summit.
This is not the first time the worlds of Heyman and Smith have collided. Previously, Smith hosted Heyman on his ESPN show First Take. Back in August 2023, Smith made a request to his producer to add Heyman to a segment, which initially had only Roman Reigns in it.
Smith is a passionate wrestling fan and has never missed a chance to show his admiration for Paul Heyman. Nonetheless, Smith, and Heyman linking up sent fans into a frenzy on social media. Many joked that the room would’ve been so loud when the duo were together.
Although Stephen A. Smith talks about a lot of sports on his show, he mainly focuses on the NFL and NBA. He is currently one of the top sports personalities in the industry and is the host of the most successful show on sports television.
As for Heyman, he is one of the greatest ever personalities in the professional wrestling industry. He is well known for his mic work and has worked as a manager (in Kayfabe) for Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. For his achievements in the industry, Heyman is set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. He is set to receive the prestigious honor on April 5 in Philadelphia.
