The head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, Deion Sanders, stunned the world when his team beat TCU by 45-42. The football world went mad as the Buffaloes, who registered a single win in 12 games last season, were able to register a win in their first match. Analysts lost their cool over the performance, and it seems like they are still in the same situation as they are not refraining from praising the head coach and his players.
However, interestingly, not everyone has fallen into the loop. The ESPN host, Chris Russo, has denied being a part of this bandwagon of analysts who are in praise of Deion Sanders. Instead, he has decided to be in ‘Deion’s out mode,’ and will cheer for the opponents in the coming matchday.
In one of the episodes of the popular football podcasting show, Chris Russo, who is also famous as Mad Dog, said that he is actively betting on Nebraska against the Buffaloes in the upcoming matchday.
“I’ll tell you right now I will root like crazy for Nebraska this Saturday afternoon. I’m a little Deion’d out already. I know they play Nebraska this weekend… Go Matt Rhule and go Cornhuskers. 31-14 Nebraska. I’m a little Deion’d out,” Russo was heard saying from the sets of the First Take show.
However, the analyst did not prevent himself from praising the coach and his efforts to change the team through fresh inclusion. Russ added that Sanders’ inclusion was like fresh air, and it took place when the team was in bad shape. The story of his son, Shedeur Sanders, is also interesting. He, in fact, praised Sander’s idea to bring Travis Hunter into the squad. However, none of these things was able to prevent him from supporting Nebraska in the coming game.
Will Sanders’ tactics be fruitful once again?
Deion Sanders’ story in college football is like a fairytale. He took charge of the team when they were in a pathetic situation. Lost 11 games last year and won only a single one. Right after taking charge, Sanders completely changed the structure of the team. He imported all the 53 players for this new season. His transfers shined well in the first game as his son Shedeur made an all-time passing record and Travis Hunter had a decent game with major interceptions and 11 catches.
Against Nebraska, his tactical mindset will have the final words. It is to be seen whether these players will shine or Nebraska will outplay Sanders. The Colorado Buffaloes will host Nebraska at their home stadium. Coach Prime wants full support from the home crowd.
