After months of silence and occasional subtle shots, the ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith finally went scorched earth on his former colleague Jason Whitlock. The controversial right-wing sports commentator has been taking shots at Stephen A. and Shannon Sharpe for a few months.

Most recently, Whitlock accused Stephen A. of fabricating his memoir. Whitlock used his platform to accuse Whitlock of exaggerating and lying in his memoir and called him, “Stephen A. Myth.” And now, Smith has given a rebuttal on Wednesday’s episode of The Stephen A. Smith Show.

Smith spent more than 45 minutes degrading Whitlock and called him a bunch of names. He used some questionable terms to address including ‘fat no-good human being’ and a ‘b*tch.’ In his hate-fueled rant, Smith also revealed that when he signed a contract with ESPN back in 2015, he had a special clause to avoid working with Whitlock.

I have a contract that I negotiated with ESPN that I signed in 2015. I don’t know of anyone who has this in their contracts. I had it in my contract, and I have a copy of it, where it specifically stipulates that I never work with Jason Whitlock. It’s in writing. No wonder you didn’t see him on First Take.

Stephen A. Smith and Jason Whitlock worked as colleagues from 2013 to 2015. As Smith claimed, he never appeared on television with Jason Whitlock after signing the contract in 2015. Smith also said that no one on the network wanted to work with Whitlock, a claim which was later backed by another former ESPN employee, Jemele Hill.

Whatever started the issue between the two, it was clear Stephen A. absolutely hates Whitlock from the bottom of his soul. He even labeled Whitlock as someone worse than a White supremacist.

I mean it from my soul when I say this is the worst human being I’ve ever known.  don’t know of another human being worse than Jason Whitlock. He is a piece of s–t. He’s the dude that’s going to have a funeral and ain’t going to be no pallbearers.

The 56-year-old sports talk show host revealed that he gave a heads-up to his bosses and his family about his NSFW rant. He also claimed that he called his pastor in advance to ask forgiveness since “he’s not going to recognize the person he’s about to hear.”

Jason Whitlock responded to Smith’s hour-long video with a tweet, simply brushing off the claims. However, one can’t help but wonder whether Whitlock might retaliate with another video, which might keep the feud alive.
