Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions were tied for the best record in the NFL through the first 6 weeks of the ongoing season. They looked unbeatable, but it all changed when the Lions faced the Baltimore Ravens in their week 7 game on Sunday. Lamar Jackson and the Ravens humiliated the Lions on both sides of the ball and made them look like a bottom-five team. After their blowout loss, ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith blasted the Detroit-based football team for their poor outing.

During a recent episode of The Stephen A. Smith Show on YouTube, the renowned ESPN personality sounded off on the Lions team and called them the definition of fraudulent.

It’s fraudulence. You see, when you look for the definition of fraudulent, that’s what the damn Detroit Lions showed you today. You got a top four offense, you got a top nine defense, you got Jared Goff, who was an MVP candidate. They were 13-3 since Week 9 of last season.

The First Take host also went on to note how he had the Lions as the number-one team in the league last week on his show. But they failed to play like the number 1 team and surrendered completely to the Baltimore-based football team.

The 56-year-old reporter further pointed out how the Lions haven’t won a single playoff game in the last 50-plus years and then questioned Detroit’s head coach Dan Campbell. He even referred to the franchise as “perpetually disgusting” because of their continuous failures.

To get your a** kicked so thoroughly, so embarrassingly, so profoundly. . . What happened to biting kneecaps, Dan Campbell? The Lions reminded us they’re just another team.

The Ravens really made the Lions look like a bottom 5 team. Lamar Jackson and the Ravens had no problem driving the ball downfield and scoring touchdowns. As a result, they ended up winning the game 38-6 in a blowout fashion.

Jared Goff and the Lions look to bounce back from the humiliating week 7 loss

Following their embarrassing loss against the Ravens on Sunday, Jared Goff and the Lions are now looking to bounce back by securing a massive victory against the Las Vegas Raiders in their week 8 game.

Especially Jared Goff — who was playing at an MVP level before the week 7 fiasco — would look to make a statement in week 8 of the ongoing NFL season.

The Raiders, on the other hand, are coming off a shocking loss against the Chicago Bears in their week 7 matchup. But their franchise QB Jimmy Garoppolo, who missed the week 7 game with an injury, is expected to return to the field against the Lions. With Jimmy G under center, the Raiders would be a tough team to beat.
