“He’s not a leader,” Cardinals GM Steve Keim receives HARSH criticism from an anonymous staff member over his leadership

Steve Keim
Steve Keim is an influential figure in the Cardinals locker room as the GM has been at the helm of things since 2013. The Cardinals GM handles everything from recruiting players to coaches and has been through massive changes in the organization.
However, this season has been a different story for Keim as he’s been under scrutiny for quite many reasons. The Cardinals were expected to have a great season this year but ended up being sub-par and below average with a record of 4-8 in the NFL.
Many have started to point fingers at the leadership involving Keim and HC Kliff Kingsbury and even the staff has decided to call out the leadership through an anonymous letter.
Someone from within the organization had harsh words about the Cardinals GM in a report by the Score’s Jordan Schultz. “Keim’s a fan,” a longtime employee told trough the Schultz reports. “He’s been able to keep that job because of his relationship with Bidwill, but he’s not a football savant or football mind. He’s not a leader.”
It is pretty evident that Keim has a great relationship with the Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill and he has backed the GM every time due to their great friendship. Some also accuse the GM of getting the job through his relationship with the owner.

Steve Keim and the leadership are being blamed for the downfall of the Arizona Cardinals

Steve Keim holds a lot of power in the Cardinals organization and it is not going the way he would like to. The Cardinals GM gave a $240 million contract to QB Kyler Murray at the inception of his career.
Murray is a special player who’s talented but the QB hasn’t been able to justify his worth throughout the season. HC Kliff Kingsbury can also be under fire as the pressure mounts in the Cardinals organization due to consistent losses.
However, according to the Schultz report, the HC is a great coach but he’s stuck in an organization where the owner and the GM Steve Keim don’t have a clue how to run a football team.
The Cardinals are third in their division and it doesn’t look like they’ll be making a playoff run this season as they trail to the 49ers and the Seahawks, they should put their focus on preparing for the next season and making some effective changes in the organization.
