Chase will be one of the main men to watch out for in the 2023 NFL season.

The 2023 NFL season is fast approaching, and the battle is on about who is and will be the best receiver (WR) in the league. An interesting list has been compiled by the ‘Ringer’ to make things easier. However, the Cincinnati Bengals fans were left bemused as it does not list Ja’Marr Chase in the top 5.
Ben Solak and Steven Ruiz of the Ringer left out the 2021 Rookie of the Year recipient. Although all the names on the list are elite players in their own right, Chase not making the top 5 is a surprise.
They listed Chase’s former college football teammate Justin Jefferson as their top pick going into 2023. The Minnesota Vikings player has already had a noteworthy career and deserves his top 5 spots.
The Las Vegas Raiders Davante Adams was an easy pick for both of them, as the 30-year-old is showing no signs of slowing down. Miami Dolphins Tyreek Hill made the cut as well. Buffalo Bills Stefon Diggs and Philadelphia Eagles A.J. Brown made the cut too. Cooper Kupp of the Los Angeles Rams completed the top 5.
Chase sat just outside, and it’s definitely a worthy debate whether he deserves to be higher up the list or not.
Who is better Ja’Marr Chase or Justin Jefferson?

Both Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson graduated from LSU. Both had a great career playing alongside Bengals’ quarterback Joe Burrow. Chase recorded 84 receptions for 1,780 yards and 20 touchdowns in 2019 as a sophomore. Jefferson was no slouch either, as the 24-year-old managed 111 passes for 1,540 yards with 18 touchdowns.
In 2020, Jefferson entered the NFL Draft, and the Vikings signed the LA native. Since his debut, he has been in peak form with 88 receptions and 1,400 yards with seven touchdowns.
Ja’Marr Chase was late to the party, as he had to sit out his junior year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, in 2021, the Bengals drafted a generational talent. With Burrow by his side, Chase racked up 81 receptions, 1,455 yards, and 13 touchdowns. More importantly, he won offensive Rookie of the Year and even reached the Super Bowl LVI.
The two know each other’s moves so well that once Chase blurted out that Jefferson was copying him. While talking to CBS, he said, “He (Jefferson) stole all my moves.” Chase argued that because Jefferson entered the NFL first, “it looked like his moves.”
The Vikings man has his own opinion about who is better. He said, “He’s (Chase) more of a physical deep threat, and I’m more of a shifty—I can do both,” implying that he’s more versatile.
Well, they will have their chance to prove themselves again as to who is better starting in September.
