Ever since Elon Musk bought Twitter, the billionaire has been making continuous changes in how social media operates. Most notably, Musk implemented new verification policies which require its users to pay $8 per month to keep their verification badge. This new rule has pissed off a lot of people, including the San Francisco 49ers player Taybor Pepper.

On Friday, any Twitter users who didn’t subscribe to Twitter Blue services lost their blue checkmark and the 49ers long snapper Taybor Pepper is one among them. While many celebrities and athletes were chill about losing their blue tick, the 28-year-old long snapper sounded off on Elon Musk over his new policies.

“That little b**ch @elonmusk finally did it, he took away my check mark. I’m never gonna pay for this s–t platform btw. #BelugaWhaleLookinAss,” he tweeted, according to the New York Post.

Shortly after his blowout, Pepper made his Twitter account private. Just like Pepper, many celebrities, including star NFL players like Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers, lost their blue ticks. However, Musk has personally paid for some famous people’s verification badges, including the NBA legend LeBron James and the famed author Stephen King.

Additionally, The New England Patriots‘ legendary quarterback Tom Brady is on the list of only a few celebrities who kept their blue checkmark. Although it is unsure whether he paid for it or Elon Musk paid for it personally, just like he did it for LeBron and Stephen King.

Before making his Twitter account private over bashing Elon Musk, Taybor Pepper once posted a hilarious video on social media announcing his contract extension with the San Francisco 49ers.

Pepper signed a 3-year deal that includes $1.5 million in guarantees with the Niners in the 2023 off-season. The 6’4″ long snapper started the video like he was announcing his departure from the Niners before quickly changing the tune with a clip of Leonardo DiCaprio from the Wolf of Wall Street movie and announcing that he’s staying in San Francisco.

The long snapper first joined the 49ers back in 2020 and has played a crucial role in the special teams unit of the Niners. So far in his 3 years with the team he has played in 46 games for them. Before his arrival in San Francisco, Pepper spent one year each with the Green Bay Packers and the Miami Dolphins.
