Sara claimed that she has never been subject to such harsh treatment at Foxboro even though she was a native.

An X user by the name of Sara has come forward with a painful experience she went through at Gillette Stadium wearing a custom-made Taylor Swift jacket when the Kansas City Chiefs came to play on Sunday night. According to Sara, she became the target of men who were booing because they did not like her attire.

Sara, who claimed to be a New England Patriots fan, was in the stands at Foxboro to watch the game. But being a ‘swiftie’ she was also hoping to catch a glimpse of her favorite pop star, Taylor Swift. Unfortunately, she wasn’t ready for the abuse that was coming her way for being an admirer of the 12-time Grammy winner. She wrote,

Bad experience. @gillettestadium has always been my home base and my favorite stadium as a born+raised Massachusetts girl, but tonight at the @patriots game, I was harassed and audibly booed for being a fan of the opposing team and wearing a jacket with my lifelong idol on it. (1/6).

Taylor Swift fan Sara had to change her seats

A football game is a hostile environment. Especially for the traveling supporters. There’s hardly a game that goes by where fans bicker and even exchange a few blows. The NFL keeps a close eye on every matchday and collaborates with stadium officials to keep a lid on the fiery altercations.

But more often than not, situations similar to Sara’s come forward that sour the mood. Her experience not only puts a big question mark on the game but also gives the New England fan base a bad name.

I had men directly behind me, right in my ear, as well as many rows behind me in my section, yelling that I was stupid for being a fan of Taylor and many other nasty things that I won’t even put on here for my sake, and honestly, Taylor's sake. It was horrendous.

The “harassment” became so intense that it forced Sara to change her seat. She went over to the area occupied by a section of Chiefs fans.

This went on until I decided to leave my section because of the extent of the literal bullying. As I was leaving, the Patriots fans around me booed me as I left. No, I was not mistaking this for a play. Nobody was on the field at the time.

There’s one redeeming factor, though: her icon Taylor Swift’s team won the game. However, Swift’s boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, had a game to forget. The All-Pro catcher only had 5 receptions for 28 yards. To make matters worse, he dropped an easy catch in the end zone.
