Travis Kelce has done what was possibly thought to be impossible. He has succeeded in getting Taylor Swift to love football on the same footing as any American should. Swift, who has recently been named Time’s 2023 Person of the Year, has been a constant at the recent games of the Kansas City Chiefs.

While she has primarily been attending the games to show her support for Travis Kelce, a side benefit of this has been that the pop icon has begun to love the sport of football, the excitement involved in it, and the nail-biting aspect of the game, which keeps fans on the edge of their seats.

Football is awesome, it turns out. I've been missing out my whole life.

Well, better late than never, right? She has made sure to attend almost every game of the Chiefs since her maiden visit to Arrowhead on the 24th of September. This could mean that, in addition to T-Swift, her vast fanbase will also give football a chance now!

Taylor Swift revealed her relationship timeline with Travis Kelce

The pop star revealed in the interview that she and Kelce had begun to hang out much before her first public appearance at Arrowhead Stadium. The tight end had revealed earlier that he attempted to meet Taylor Swift after one of her concerts to give her a friendship bracelet with his number on it but failed to do so.

She said:

So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I'm grateful for, because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.

It is evident from this that the duo was already a thing before Swift made her first public appearance. The notion that the pop star came to one of his games on their first date is not true, as that would be one of the worst ways to kickstart a relationship.

There is one thing they deserve to be credited for: despite their busy schedules, Swift and Kelce continue to do every bit and make time to support each other at their events. The star further added:

We're showing up for each other, other people are there and we don't care...we're just proud of each other.

The NFL ought to be thanking their lucky stars for this romance, as their TV ratings have shot through the roof ever since Taylor Swift became a regular at the Chiefs’ games.

As per FOX Sports, the September 24 game wherein she first made a public appearance garnered 24.3 million views. While some fans have complained that the focus is shifting from football to fame during the telecast of the Chiefs’ games.

You have no idea when the camera is putting you in the broadcast...I'm just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I'm being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.

The star defended herself by putting the onus on the media for giving her that level of attention.
