Taylor Swift turning down performing at Super Bowl halftime show amid her $2,000,000,000 Eras Tour may be because of NFL’s policy of ‘not’ paying the performers
Pompliano claims it was in Taylor Swift's best interests to refuse to perform at Super Bowl.

Taylor Swift is a global icon, with hits that top almost every music chart imaginable. Her ongoing Eras tour is predicted to generate approximately $2,000,000,000 in ticket revenue alone. It’s fair to say that her singing draws a lot of crowds. So when the Emmy winner decided against performing in the Super Bowl halftime show, a section of the Swifties were left scratching their heads. However, as it turns out, the songstress has a valid reason for declining it.
Popular NFL analyst Joe Pompliano has come forward with his theory as to the reasons behind the decision. On Sunday, he shared a short clip on his X account (formerly Twitter) explaining some of the causes.
“Taylor Swift turned down the Super Bowl’s halftime show. It was a genius decision,” Pompliano said. “She’s the world’s most popular artist, [for whom] people are paying an average of $1500 to see her in concert. [Moreover] her current tour is expected to generate more than [$2 billion in ticket sales alone]. It makes sense that the NFL would ask her to do the Super Bowl halftime show. But that doesn’t mean it makes sense for her [Taylor Swift].”
Joe Pompliano breaks down why Taylor Swift refused to perform at the Super Bowl
The Super Bowl is considered one of the greatest shows on planet Earth. People from different parts of the globe tune in to watch the two best football teams in the country fight for the biggest prize.
To make the occasion even grander, notable music stars, singers, and bands are invited to perform during halftime. It has become more or less a tradition over the years. Last year, Rihanna stole the show with some of her greatest hits, including ‘Where Have You Been?, ‘Only Girl in the World’, ‘We Found Love’, and a few others.
Keeping the Eras Tour in mind, the NFL authorities tried to pursue Taylor Swift. But the Cruel Summer vocalist showed them the door. Joe Pompliano speculates why.
“The NFL doesn’t actually pay Super Bowl half-time performers,” he continued. “Instead, many artists actually end up spending millions of dollars of their own money on production.” He added that the Blank Space writer would earn more than $2 billion from her Eras Tour. So why would she waste her own money to perform in the Super Bowl?
Her recent stop was in Mexico, where, as per sources, she booked an entire ‘Four Seasons’ hotel for her 179 crew. Even in the UK, the hotels for her Liverpool and Edinburgh stops have already reached full capacity. It shows how much her songs influence listeners.
