The Cincinnati Bengals‘ star wide receiver Tee Higgins is entering the final year of his 4-year rookie deal in the upcoming season. He is currently negotiating his contract extension with the team and could soon secure his second contract with the Cincinnati-based football team. Despite the contract talks, Higgins is attending camp and other events related to the organizations without any holdouts.
Amidst his hectic training schedule for the 2023 season, the 24-year-old receiver recently conducted a meet and greet for his fans in Kenwood, Ohio. There were lots of fans in attendance to meet the Bengals receiver. Initially scheduled to end at a particular time, Higgins was shocked when he stepped outside and saw a lot of fans still waiting to meet him, even after the allotted time had ended. Higgins didn’t want to let those people down.
In a short video posted on the social media platform X, Higgins could be seen walking outside, taking a look at the line, and walking back inside to meet more fans. “Oh wait, that’s it right here? Oh yeah, we’ll do more,” said Higgins with a smile before heading back inside to meet more fans. The short video went viral on social media and received more than 5.5 million views within a day.
According to reports, the talented pass catcher continued to take pictures despite suggestions from his team to end the event. His actions reflected his true love for his supporters.
Tee Higgins was drafted by the Bengals in the 2nd round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He has been a great weapon for the Bengals QB Joe Burrow, who was also picked by the Bengals in the same draft. In his three-year stint with the Bengals so far, Higgins has registered 3,028 yards and 19 touchdowns. As a result, the defending AFC North Champions are looking to extend the receiver with a long-term contract.
