Terrell Owens is one of the greatest wide receivers to ever play in the NFL. The former San Francisco 49ers wideout had a remarkable career in the league that spanned 15 years. Following a dominant run, Owens retired from the sport back in 2010 and has been out of the league ever since. And now, Owens has made headlines after getting into an altercation with someone during a pickup basketball game.
According to multiple reports, Owens was struck by a car on Monday night in the Calabasas area in California. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating the shocking incident as a planned attack instead of an accident. Earlier, Owens reportedly got into an argument with someone while they were hooping in the Calabasas area.
Once the basketball game ended, the unidentified male hit Terrell Owens with a car. Fortunately, Owens didn’t suffer any severe injuries and didn’t require any medical attention per reports. The shocking incident, which happened on Monday night is still under investigation and no arrests have been made as of now.
But the authorities told Fox News, that the suspect would be charged with “assault with a deadly weapon” once apprehended. Nonetheless, the 6-time Pro Bowl receiver has been involved in many bizarre incidents over the last few years. Back in 2022, Owens was accused of reckless driving by a woman in Florida which led to the prosecutors charging Owens with lying to authorities. But they dropped the case later.
In another incident, the 5-time All-Pro pass catcher was involved in a fistfight incident with a stranger in Inglewood, California. The 49ers legend later claimed that he only acted in self-defense as the stranger made threatening statements.
Terrell Owens played in the league for 15 years
Selected by the Niners in the 3rd round of the 1996 NFL Draft, not many people expected the Chattanooga product Terrell Owens to become a star in the league. But Owens exceeded expectations and had a remarkable 15-year-long career.

In 15 years, Owens played with several teams including the 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys. He registered 6 Pro Bowl seasons and was named to the first-team All-Pro squad 5 times in his career.
