Stephen A. Smith is ecstatic about Aaron Rodgers joining the Green Bay Packers
NFL pundit and analyst Stephen A. Smith is extremely excited about Aaron Rodgers joining the New York Jets. On the “First Take” show on ESPN, Smith expressed his happiness and couldn’t hold back. He was elated with Rodgers coming to New York and believes signing a quarterback of Rodgers’ability can win the Jets the Super Bowl.
“We’ve got Aaron Rodgers in the Big Apple,” Smith said. “We’ve got Aaron Rodgers. That baaaadddd man is in the Big Apple, baby. You can bring up a running back, you can bring up an offensive line, you can bring up an elite defense, which the New York Jets have. If you don’t have a quarterback, it amounts to nothing in this day and age. This ain’t the days when Trent Dilfer — who I love dearly, by the way — led the Baltimore Ravens to the Super Bowl.”

There is speculation that Aaron Rodgers will soon be retiring but Smith believes that won’t be the case of he can win a Super Bowl for the Jets as that is going to become a massive success and will keep him going for more.
“I don’t think he’s going to retire in two years because he’s in New York, and if that brother shows up in New York and he finds a way to deliver a championship to Gotham City, do you have any idea what that’s going to mean for his pockets, for his status, for the allure that New York City brings?”
The New York Jets could also receive a 2024 first-round pick if Rodgers plays 65% of the plays this season.
