National Football League (NFL) team the Dallas Cowboys have retained their title of being the most valuable team in the league. The team’s revenue increased by 23% in the last season and generated a total value of $8 billion.
The other teams who make up the top five losses which were published by Forbes on Monday consist of the New England Patriots ($6.4bn), current Super Bowl champion the Los Angeles Rams ($6.2bn), New York Giants ($6bn) and Chicago Bears ($5.8bn).
Dallas Cowboys up by 23% and are valued at $8 billion
This is the 16th consecutive year that the Dallas Cowboys have been named as the most valuable team in the NFL. It is surprising that they are still able to manage to retain this title given the fact that the Cowboys have managed to reach the playoffs just four times since 2010.
The Dallas Cowboys’ operating income is currently at $465.9m which is the highest in the NFL as well as them being the most valuable team in the world in the year 2021. The Dallas Cowboys generated over $220 million in stadium advertising and sponsorship revenue in 2021.
“They’re still ‘America’s Team,’” said Kurt Badenhausen who is a reporter at the sports business website Sportico.“They’re still the most-watched team. Every network wants as many Cowboys games as they can get. They have the largest fanbase in the country.”
