The Cowboys are in a tricky position currently. They ended their last season with just the NFC east title. Though something is better than nothing, they ultimately want to win the Super Bowl as the owner Jerry Jones desires.

Colin Cowherd compared the Dallas Cowboys to AL Davis’s Raiders in their downfall. Their drafts are getting ‘weirder’. There is no chemistry in the team and there are different squabbles among players.

Colin Cowherd also went on to describe the similarities between the Raiders and the Cowboys. “We talk about them, but do we talk about them with reverence? They make noise, but I can’t take them seriously.” Cowherd stated in his show the herd.

Initially, when Jerry Jones bought the team the Cowboys were great, the drafting and hiring was exceptional and they dominated the NFL. But that has changed now, the Cowboys are struggling. Colin Cowherd stated that Jerry Jones is ‘meddling’ and ‘out of touch, they beat the Eagles and the Giants but they are nowhere near being a Super Bowl team.

Colin Cowherd was having a field day criticizing the Cowboys, he went on to talk about how they are not well coached and lack coaching discipline. The last two drafts of the Cowboys were also not impressive. The only player who’s quality in that team is Micah Parsons.

The NFL is changing now and it’s getting more explosive, this means that WRs are very important with a well-designed QB play. The Cowboys lack good depth in the WR department and they don’t have a decent play out from the back.

“They [Cowboys] had a moment,” Colin Cowherd said. “They are becoming like Al Davis’s Raiders, how they view themselves is not how everybody views them”

The Cowboys will start their regular season in September when they go up against the Bucs in their first game.
