Josh Lambo, former Jacksonville Jaguars kicker filed a lawsuit against the team and their former HC Mark Urban because they violated state laws by creating a hostile work environment that was difficult for Lambo to cope with.

Lambo alleged that Urban made his life difficult at work and it impacted his ability to train, sleep and perform well in the games. It was stated that the former Jaguars kicker was kicked and harassed by his HC.

Lambo filed the lawsuit as he was going through a tumultuous time both mentally and physically. The kicker was looking for any back pay owed, legal fees, and damages when he filed the lawsuit.

However, that didn’t go in his favour as his suit was quickly dismissed by Duval County Judge as the Jaguars made a 439-page motion to dismiss the case that stated “Lambo is not a whistle-blower nor a victim of retaliation. Instead, as [Lambo] admits in the complaint, club separated his employment due to his unsatisfactory performance on the football field.” The motion read. “predicated solely on the alleged criminal acts of Urban Meyer, not any policy, practice or activity of club.”

The lawsuit by Lambo alleged that Urban Meyer assaulted the kicker both mentally and physically. The former Jaguars HC had also threatened to release Lambo as he spoke back to him.

Though Lambo wasn’t unemployed for long as he signed with the Titans, who are also the bitter rivals to the Jaguars. The 31-year-old is set to make his debut against the Packers in their next game.
