Tom Brady has a cheeky ‘3-word’ response to Novak Djokovic getting inspired by him and playing quarterback in practice ahead of Indian Wells
Novak Djokovic previously stated he desired to be on the tennis court playing at the age of 40, just like Tom Brady.

Novak Djokovic, the tennis great seems to be trying his hands on American football with his son, Stefan at the UCLA campus. And his inspiration, if one must ask, is none other than the NFL legend Tom Brady.
After coming off a loss in a four-set encounter in the semifinals of the Australian Open earlier this year in January, Djokovic is currently preparing for the upcoming 2024 Indian Wells Masters campaign, starting this week. The Serb has won the tournament five times and is once again the favorite to win the sixth title.

Taking some spare time in between his tennis practices, the tennis GOAT used the football to evaluate his quarterback skills. He posted a recent Instagram story this Thursday, where he can be seen in a quarterback-wide receiver duo with his nine-year-old son Stefan, throwing passes.

The video begins with little Stefan snapping the ball backwards to his father, who catches it and then throws it in the air. The Serbian tennis player also mentioned the source of his inspiration to play as a quarterback in his story.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion taking inspiration from the NFL GOAT, of course, caught Brady’s attention. And his reply couldn’t have been more perfect. The 46-year-old reposted Djokovic’s story on Instagram and wrote, “practice makes perfect,” with laughing face emojis.

This isn’t the first time Djokovic drew inspiration from Brady. Previously he stated he desired to be on the tennis court playing at the age of 40, just like the former NFL player, who retired at the age of 45. Brady had a long NFL career of 23 years, in which he became the winningest quarterback in NFL history with seven Super Bowl rings to his name.
The former New England Patriots quarterback had been a frequent attendee to The Serb’s matches. He met the tennis legend during the 2023 US Open semifinals and also introduced his children, Benjamin Rein and John Edward Thomas to him.
