Tom Brady breaks silence after Tampa Bay Buccaneers clinch NFC South despite struggles

Tom Brady and the Bucs have had an uneventful season so far. The team struggled to find its momentum this year and has won as many games as they have lost and stand at .500. Fortunately the team has managed to conquer the NFC South division without any fight from the rest of the teams and booked their place in the playoffs.

The 45-year-old quarterback has added yet another record to his name as he will make his 14th consecutive playoff appearance. The Bucs’ 14 points comeback against the Carolina Panthers helped Brady and Co. achieve the divisional title. Brady posted his best performance of the season as he threw for 432 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions.

Tampa Bay’s star receiver, Mike Evans, was the highlight of the night with his stellar performance. He caught 10 passes for 207 yards and marked his ninth consecutive 1000-yard season. Brady-Evans combo which was under the notion that it had lost its chemistry connected for three touchdowns. The defense also held its ground and stopped the Panthers from increasing their lead.

During the post-game interview, Tom Brady talked about his teammates and the hardships they had to go through this entire season. He gave all the credit for their victory against the Panthers to his fellow Buccaneers. “It felt great,” Brady said. “I’m really proud of our guys and everyone on the team, coaches.”

“We powered through a lot of tough things this year. Happy to win the division; it’s always tough to do it. NFL games are tough to win and we always figure out a way to keep them somehow exciting. I wish they wouldn’t be as exciting as we made it, but I’m happy we got the win and happy so many guys contributed.”

The Buccaneers now have to face the Atlanta Falcons for the last game of the regular season. Brady is sure to end the season with a win so that the team is motivated as they head into the postseason. The 7x Super Bowl Champion is known for winning games during the playoffs and defeating even the No.1 seed of the division.

While Tom Brady hasn’t been entirely clear about his plan to retire at the end of this season, it is damn sure that he would like to add another ring to his collection and rise in a universe of his own.
