Tom Brady couldn’t get the better of the 49ers this week and the Bucs were brutally demolished by them in an absolute one-sided affair that ended with a score of 35-7.
The Bucs managed just one touchdown while the 49ers rookie QB Brock Purdy had the debut of dreams when he spectacularly beat the Brady-led team.
The Bucs QB himself didn’t have a great game as he threw for just one touchdown while throwing two interceptions. Out of those two interceptions, one was an acrobatic effort by 49ers LB Dre Greenlaw who’s a long-time Brady fan.
Brady was quite respectful after the loss and met every player on the 49ers’ team. However, the most heart-warming gesture was when the seven-time Super Bowl winner decided to sign the ball that Greenlaw intercepted.
It was the same ball that Greenlaw had intercepted from Brady, and the QB was gracious enough to grant his wish. The 49ers LB was quite happy about it in his post-match press conference.
“The worst thing he could tell me was no,” Greenlaw said. “I was always told if you don’t ask, you’ll never know. He’s a good guy, to sign that ball out there. … I appreciate it. He’s the greatest. He’s the GOAT.”

Tom Brady was applauded for his grand gesture
Tom Brady has been playing for a long time now and is an inspiration to most every single footballer that currently plays in the NFL. Therefore, the veteran QB needs to be at his best at all times.
This is not the first time that Brady has signed the ball that got intercepted, as it has happened before with the Jets player Brandin Echols, who did the same last season and the legendary QB was happy to oblige.
NFL Twitter quickly went viral when the clip was released and everyone applauded Brady while praising his gesture that probably made Dre Greenlaw’s day.
Brady’s an inspiration and a hero to many and continues to inspire with his heartwarming gestures even while being defeated. Maybe that’s what separates him from other players and makes him the GOAT.
Tom Brady is set to become a free agent next year, and it is highly speculated that the Bucs QB will play out his remaining season near his home in San Francisco. Only time will tell where he decides to take his talents next.
