Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills will face the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday. It is a huge game for both these teams. The Bills are 5-3 through eight weeks and the Bengals are 4-3. Both these teams are contenders to win the Super Bowl this season and although the Bengals started the season with a couple of defeats, they are right back into the race after their win against the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday.

Allen got some advice from the GOAT himself, Tom Brady. The Bills’ quarterback made an appearance on the Let’s Go! podcast recently. During the podcast, Brady quipped that Allen was like his “oldest son” and said that he might listen but will eventually do whatever he wants. Brady offered some stern advice to Allen before the Bills huge Sunday Night matchup.

Brady said on the podcast.

He’s like my oldest son. I try to tell him, but in the end, he’s just got to do it his way. Speaking from a few years of experience, he still just wants to do it his way.

He further continued by saying:

From my standpoint, Josh is right, and a lot of playing quarterback, in the end, is about mitigating risk, for example, you could throw a ball into tight coverage and go, ‘Look, you know, sometimes you just gotta make throws into tight coverage.’ Or sometimes, you can just throw the ball to a guy that may be a little bit more open and gain a few less yards. That’s my point.

Allen so far this season has thrown for 2,165 yards, 17 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. He has a rating of over 100 and has been brilliant in the first half of the season. Against the Bengals on Sunday, the Bills will need Allen to produce at an elite level like he has done so far this season.

Josh Allen explains why he didn’t practice on Wednesday ahead of the Bills-Bengals game

Josh Allen has been dealing with a shoulder injury. It kept him from practising with his teammates on Wednesday. He spoke to the media after practice and revealed that he is following a recovery plan set by head athletic trainer Nate Breskhe.

Allen said:

Just taking it easy and making sure I’m putting myself in the best position for Sunday, and making sure that I’m not sore. So didn’t throw a lot today and hopefully by tomorrow, we’ll be on the field like nothing happened.

Allen did practice on Thursday and is expected to take the field on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bills are 5-3 so far this season and Allen is having a great season. The Bengals will pose a tough matchup though and it will be a fascinating battle between two of the league’s best QBs.
