With the Washington Commanders signing the Dallas Cowboys’ DC Dan Quinn, the former New England Patriots HC Bill Belichick will be unemployed for next season. Belichick and the Patriots ended their 23-year-long association after the end of the regular season. Since then, the highly touted HC was linked with several head coaching vacancies in the league.
However, all the vacancies in the league have been filled and Belichick still does not have a head coaching job. Many people were surprised by this because they thought Belichick, who led the Pats to six Super Bowl victories while serving as their head coach, would still be employed come football season. Tom Brady‘s father has commented on why he thinks Bill Belichick will no longer be able to work as a head coach in 2024.
Tom Brady Sr. told the Boston Globe:
Bill is tough. He runs a military system. It’s a different generation. Bill is a great, great, great coach. But his interpersonal skills are horrible. That’s the bottom line... Ego sometimes gets in the way of things. I think it did with Bill. Now, he’s in a situation where he’s gotten crucified for the last few years by everybody and a lot of luster has come off his rose.Tom Brady Sr. said
This month, Brady Jr. made a kind statement regarding Belichick; however, it’s possible that Brady Sr. is communicating some of the sentiments that the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB has only expressed in private regarding the coach, who has a losing career record without Brady.
Jerry Jones is open to working with Bill Belichick in Dallas
The Dallas Cowboys have been linked with Bill Belichick ever since the legendary head coach parted ways with the New England Patriots. However, the Cowboys decided to stick with their current HC Mike McCarthy for another year. Jerry Jones though, is open to the idea of working with the six-time Super Bowl champion in the future.

Jones said when asked about Belichick, per Yahoo! Sports:
I know him personally, and I like him. There's no doubt in my mind we could work together. None. None.Jerry Jones said
After spending 24 seasons in Foxborough as the coach of the New England Patriots, Belichick, 71, was fired and is currently without a team.
In recent years, Jones has been hesitant to commit to McCarthy, publicly expressing his support for the former Green Bay Packers coach while also raising the possibility of a staff change. Although McCarthy has guided the Cowboys to three consecutive 12-5 finishes, in his four years in the position the team has only won one playoff game.
