Without a doubt, if there is one man who has been talked about more than anyone else for a variety of reasons, it is Tom Brady. The Tampa Bay QB shocked the world when he announced his retirement, however, he soon took a U-turn and un-retired after just 40 days.

The man is now all set to lead the Buccaneers in the coming season. Tom is indeed one of the greatest QBs of all time. He has the stats to back him. However, the man has often made the headlines for non-football related stuff as well among which is his friendship with the former President of America Donald Trump.

Brady has faced a lot of flak in the past for being very close to Trump. Who can forget Tom’s “Make America Great Again” hat which went on to become a massive story. However, recently, in an interaction with Variety, the all time great talked in detail about his relationship with Trump and how it has been portrayed in the media.

When asked about playing Golf with Trump, Tom said, “this was 17 or 18 years ago. I was so young. I got to go to a private golf course. I thought it was the coolest thing in the world.” Brady went on to add that he hasn’t been in contact with Trump for years now.

When asked if he and Trump are close friends, Tom said, “I think the press just mischaracterized a lot, and my personality isn’t ever one to insult anybody. I have plenty of my own flaws. I’m not here to point out anyone else’s flaws. There are things that I agree with. There are things that I don’t.

I’m not responsible for what other people say. I’m really responsible for what I say. So if people want to say things that I said or that I’m about, that’s up to them, and I’m not going to respond to all those things all the time either,” Brady further added.
