Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen have finalized their divorce after months of speculation and rumors. The former NFL power couple was married for 13 years and have two children together, Benjamin and Vivian.
It is reported that both Brady and Gisele will share joint custody of their kids and will co-parent them. Surprisingly, their divorce went down pretty smoothly due to one strong reason. The former couple had prepared an ironclad prenup before getting married.
Prenups are looked down upon when it comes to marriages, but they are very useful when the two people who are getting married are extremely wealthy and successful.
The Bucs QB has a reported net worth of $360 million, whereas Gisele, who is the highest-paid model in the world, has a net worth of an astonishing $400 million. If the couple wouldn’t have made a prenup, then this divorce would have been very complicated.
An insider source stated, “There was an ironclad prenup set down before they married in 2009. They both have their own separate business entities, so the separation of their wealth wasn’t that complicated in the end. The only other major factor was dividing up their massive property portfolio.”

Tom Brady and Gisele went through the process of their divorce fairly swiftly, but the major hiccup that the couple encountered was the division of their extensive real estate portfolio.
It is believed that Tom Brady will get to keep the $17 million mansion owned by the couple on Indian Creek Island in Miami which is currently under construction.
Gisele will get to keep the family home where the couple used to live together with their kids and the former Victoria’s Secret Model has also purchased a new three-bedroom apartment in Miami to use as her office.
The former couple also shared a massive real estate portfolio that included various properties in varied locations like the Bahamas, and Montana and an apartment in New York City.
There were also sources suggesting that the division of the real estate portfolio was done in complete harmony and nothing was contested by either Tom Brady or Gisele.
Tom Brady and Gisele are both officially single now and the Bucs QB will be focusing on the season as the Bucs are having their worst start ever and are set to face the Rams in their next game.
