Aaron Rodgers is yet to make a decision on his future, but Tom Brady is sure about what the Packers quarterback's next move should be.

The spring of retirements might just be around the corner in the NFL. As the offseason starts, the general narrative will inevitably surround the impending futures of certain players, in particular the big-name quarterbacks.
After Tom Brady announced his second retirement, the focus completely shifted to his long-time rival Aaron Rodgers. The Green Bay Packers quarterback has flirted with the idea of hanging up his boots for a couple of seasons now but is yet to take the giant leap.
Rodgers signed a three-year contract worth $150 million with the Packers, but it looks highly improbable that he will see it out. The 39-year-old had a rough season both individually and collectively, as he failed to lead the Packers to a postseason spot.
In a recent interview with Pat McAfee, the 4x NFL MVP claimed that he will decide on his future after deep consideration in the coming days. However, if the decision was left to Tom Brady, he would ensure that his compatriot does follow his path in retiring from the NFL. Brady also hailed Rodgers for improving throughout the season, despite having a broken thumb initially.
Tom Brady urged Aaron Rodgers to continue playing in the NFL
“You know what, I hope he doesn’t retire,” Brady said on the latest episode of his Lets Go Podcast. “…I think the league needs good quarterbacks, and he’s one of the greats. So if he retires, it’ll be a sad day for the league.”
“Certainly from the standpoint of him leaving the game the way that he’s playing, he broke his thumb this year and still played tremendous. And you could see as he got healthy throughout the year how incredibly talented he is,” Brady added.
“So I hope the good players keep playing. That’s what my hope is. That’s what I tried to do. And now you hope that the next generation does that and I hope they have the tools necessary to do that.”
It is extremely heartening to see that Brady wants Aaron Rodgers to continue playing despite their rivalry over the years.
Rodgers and Brady have arguably been the best quarterbacks the league has seen over the past decade, and with Brady gone the league simply cannot afford to lose two glowing stars within a few months.
